D-tour
Yesterday I was on a tram to Rotterdam (well, in a train to, and in tram in Rotterdam). I was late for the sub, and this big yellow board at the bus and tram station said that number 23 would take me where I wanted to be. Off course I allready knew that taking an aboveground route would take twice as long as the usual undergrouns route, but hey, I was in no hurry. And allthough I hadn't used public transportation for ages, I'd still know where I had to get off. Or so I thought.
After thirtyseven minutes the tramdriver came to me, gesturing that I should take my headphones off. This was the last stop. What?! I said, where did 'slinge' go? Come to think about it, I allready wondered why I didn't recognize any of the landscape around me... The 'slinge' stop was about five ones back, he said, and a very long walk. Luckily for me, a tram going back to central station was right there waiting for me. And the driver on that one told me where I did have to get off.
The should not be allowed to put a big yellow sign with your designation on it at the station, and then name the stop itself totally different...
